presents

YORK 50+ FESTIVAL 2011

FULL OF LIFE!

Welcome to our 7th Annual 50+ Festival

9 days

offering dozens of diverse events

organised by local enthusiastic individuals and groups

With a successful 6 year track record the 50+ Festival is now firmly on the York calendar for citizens and visitors to enjoy. The 50+ Festival is a grassroots affair put on by people who want to share what they have to offer the community. What is a taster session today, may well become a regular weekly h0bby as people discover new interests and ways of keeping healthy in body and mind.

FULL OF LIFE, a government initiative, promotes a celebration of the International Day of Older People (1st October) all over the country. Our festival preceded them by about 3 years and we are delighted now to be able to join with other villages, towns and cities in national recognition of the vast resources inherent in Britain's older population. You can find out more at - http://fulloflife.direct.gov.uk/index.html

Browse through the opportunities listed below, and, if you think something is missing, why not organise an event for next year? The door is open...
