Web Site Hints

Finding your way around the web site:

The menu is displayed to the left of all the main web pages on this site. Use the back arrow button on your brower to return to the previous page. If you get lost, clicking on 'Home Page' will take you back to the first page of the YOPA site.

To change the size of the font:

In Internet Explorer, go to the menu and click View > Text size and change the text size setting (eg larger, largest, smaller)
 
In Netscape browsers or in Safari on Mac go to View > Text size. Select a larger or smaller 'percentage' or click on 'larger'’ (or ‘smaller’) to go one size up or down.

To move up and down the page without using the scroll bar:

The keyboard can be used. To scroll up and down the page slowly, use the arrow keys on the bottom left of the keyboard. To scroll a whole page at a time, you can use the'Page up’ and ‘Page Down’ keys if you have them on your keyboard.

If pages are taking a long time to download:

If you have dial-up access to the internet, you will be able to open most of the site easily. However, some PDF and Word files will take a few minutes (up to ten minutes) to download. Have patience, or contact YOPA for print copies.
Broadband users, and those browsing the net in institutional settings such as local libraries should normally have no problems.

If the web site crashes:

This happens! Try closing your web browser (for example, Internet Explorer), re-opening it and then going to the YOPA web site again.
If that doesn't work, re-start your computer.
