50+ FESTIVAL 2012
10.00 am opening by the Mayor with 30 stands offering advice, information, tasters, products and the chance of a good chat. There is something for everyone!
Bring your health questions to the NHS Trust, the Leeds/York (mental health) Partnership, LINk and Love Living Well, legal questions to Harrowells and Crombie & Wilkinson, transport questions to York Wheels and questions about your house to Yorkshire Housing.
Chat to Age UK about any other concerns and they will be happy to help you. Have fun with the Scarlet Ladies! Learn about City of Sanctuary, the Society of Later Life Advisors, the York Racial Equality Network, Older Citizens Advocacy York, and the Older Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Trans Association.
Chat to Rotary, line up good food from Yorkshire Farm Foods, see what Holland & Barrett has for you, ramble with the York Ramblers, and find out what the City of York has to offer in the way of learning, sport and recreation, housing, et al.
Everyone is ready and willing to answer your questions - take advantage of having them all together! The Falls Prevention team will be providing blood pressure and ear checks, advice and information between the hours 1 - 3 pm ONLY.
Refreshments and tombola will nourish and enliven the day's proceedings.
