Age UK York Day Clubs
Age UK York is opening further day clubs for older people in York this month (April – May 2022). Clubs run weekly and offer opportunities to meet with others and take part in a range of activities including quizzes, crafts, games, chair exercises, visiting speakers, entertainers and more. Refreshments and a 2-course hot lunch are included. The clubs are held at venues across the city so that they are easily accessible although Age UK York can provide transport if needed. COVID precautions are still in place at the clubs with numbers currently limited to enable appropriate distancing.
Two clubs are run specifically for people living with dementia. Age UK York are planning to start a monthly carer support group alongside the dementia clubs in the near future.

In response to demand Age UK York will also be starting some half day clubs will also be starting in Clifton (Marjorie Waite Court) and Acomb (Gale Farm Court) next month.
